iPhone and iPad
Wren TV for iPhone and iPad is in TestFlight testing. How to join, install and sign in.
Wren TV for iPhone and iPad needs iOS 18.6 or later. It plays through Apple's own player, so you get Picture in Picture, AirPlay to an Apple TV, and Dolby Vision and Atmos on devices that support them. Movies and episodes can be downloaded to watch offline.
Join the beta
The iOS app is in TestFlight, Apple's beta testing app, and testing is limited to a small group for now. There's no public TestFlight link yet.
- Ask for an invite on Discord, with the email address of your Apple Account.
- Install TestFlight from the App Store.
- Open the invitation email on your iPhone or iPad and choose View in TestFlight, then Accept and Install.
TestFlight installs updates as they're released, and tells you what changed. A beta build expires after 90 days, so keep TestFlight updates on.
Sign in
Open Wren TV and sign in with your Wren TV account, or create one. If you were invited to someone's server, use the email address the invite went to. The app opens your server by itself, or asks which one if you can use several.
Link a TV
To sign in a TV, open More → Link a TV and scan the code the TV shows. See Android TV.
Downloads
Choose Download on a movie or episode to keep a copy on the device. Downloads keep going in the background and play with no connection; your progress syncs when you're back online. See downloads.
