Dashboard and stats

See what's playing, how it's playing, and what your server is made of.

Owners and admins get a Manage section in the server's web app (http://<server>:32500/manage).

Status

The status page is the server at a glance:

  • Server: Wren TV version, account mode, machine ID and the addresses it's reachable at.
  • Metadata: whether TMDB and OMDb keys are set.
  • Transcoding: the hardware in use, the H.264 encoder, and whether hardware decoding and HDR tone mapping are available.
  • Streaming: whether streaming is on, the debrid services in use and how many streams are playing.
  • Now playing: who is watching what, on which player, and how it's playing (direct play, remux or transcode) and at what quality.
  • Libraries: item counts and when each was last scanned.

Stats

Manage → Stats shows play history for the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or year:

  • Plays per day, by time of day and by day of week, in your local time.
  • Most watched movies and most watched shows.
  • Top viewers: plays, hours watched and when they last watched.
  • How it played: how much was direct play, remux or transcode. A high transcode share is a hint to add a GPU or a different version of some files.
  • Players: browsers and apps, such as "Chrome on macOS".
  • Recent plays.

Below that, the Library section breaks your collection down by resolution, dynamic range (SDR, HDR10, Dolby Vision), video codec and container, with the number of titles and total size of each library.

How watch time is counted

Watch time only counts as far as playback actually advanced, capped by real time, so pausing or seeking doesn't inflate it. Restarting the same title within ten minutes, such as after changing quality or audio track, continues the same play instead of counting a new one.
