Running a server

Collections

Group titles by hand, with rules, or from TMDB franchises, lists and charts, and put them on Home.

Collections group movies and shows. Everyone with access to the titles can browse them under Collections, and you can show any collection as a row on everyone's Home screen. Owners and admins create them in the server's web app.

Kinds of collections

Hand-picked

You choose the titles. Create one under Collections → New collection → Hand-picked, then add titles from their page with + Collection.

Smart (rules)

A smart collection fills itself from rules and stays up to date as your library changes. Combine any of:

For example: "Family movie night" is movies, rated G or PG, minimum rating 7, excluding Horror.

From TMDB

A TMDB collection is built from an outside source and matched against your library:

  • Franchise: a movie series like Harry Potter. Search for it by name.
  • TMDB list: any public list on themoviedb.org. Paste its ID or link.
  • Charts: Trending this week, Popular, Top rated, Now playing, Upcoming and Airing, for movies or shows.

Tick Also show titles that aren't in the library to see the whole franchise or list, with the ones you're missing shown separately. TMDB collections refresh automatically every 12 hours.

Auto-create franchises creates a collection for every movie series with two or more films in your library, in one go.
